Travel Insurance

.Find out what coverage you already have from your current insurance companies (auto, renters, home owners, health, life, etc.) before you purchase a travel insurance policy through another company. You may already have coverage for certain things, such as health insurance when traveling internationally, that you are unaware of.

.Find out what you can purchase through your current insurance companies before looking into another company.

.Shop around for the best price and compare plans of equal coverage.

.Don't purchase a travel insurance policy from companies associated with your vacation. If the company experiences any financial problems, you could lose not only your vacation, but also the travel insurance that was supposed to cover the situation.

.Find out if there are any additional fees, deductibles or restrictions on the travel insurance policy.
